If so, ACT could be the ideal therapeutic approach for them. With ACT, we can assist your child or adolescent disengage from these thoughts and emotions, identify their core values and goals, and make a dedicated commitment to actions that align with what really matters to them.
Mindfulness-based Therapy
You may be surprised to learn that mindfulness isn't solely about meditation and yoga; instead, it's a fresh approach to living that invites you to engage fully and wholeheartedly in every daily experience. Children and adolescents today excel at multitasking, and that's fantastic. At the same time, they might have difficulties in maintaining focus, addressing daily challenges effectively, connecting with emotions, or fully savouring life. Mindfulness training could really transform their life.
Behavioral Activation
If you or someone close to you has ever experienced depression, low mood, or burnout, you understand how challenging it can be not only to enjoy life but even to carry out the simplest daily activities. Depression is even more troubling when it affects children or adolescents. Through the evidence-based practice of Behavioral Activation, we can help your child commit to taking small steps towards reclaiming their life, finding joy, and regaining a sense of accomplishment.

At the same time, it can limit positive life experiences and lead to isolation.
